Esenia Cassidy (they, them) supports the organization’s mission of advancing psychedelic research, education, and community engagement. In this role, Esenia combines their deep academic expertise with a commitment to fostering inclusive and transformative approaches to mental health and psychedelic studies.
Outside of SRF, Esenia is a PhD student at The Ohio State University College of Social Work, specializing in the intersections of psychedelics, attachment, gender, trauma, and harm reduction. As a non-binary mental health academic and practitioner, Esenia’s work is informed by a rich background in social justice, education, and media. At OSU, they are an active member of the Center for Psychedelic Drug Research and Education, contributing to projects that examine gender identity in relation to psychedelic use, substance use, and challenging psychedelic experiences.
